You keep wasting time, scrolling on WhatsApp, hopping from Instagram to TikTok to Facebook, yet you say you don't know why you can't achieve something tangible with your life. Oh yes, you do.
Those goals you wrote this year—how are they going? I know you were sure 2024 was going to be your year. You were confident that by mid-year, you'd have turned a new leaf, read a number of books, taken control of your time, and been blooming through all your goals.
The truth is, change doesn't happen all of a sudden. You can't stay off WhatsApp the whole week and reward yourself on the weekend with a K-drama binge. I'm sure you know that. Yet you keep deceiving yourself.
It's you vs. you. Be true to yourself for once. You can build that habit. You can become that person who reads books, listens to podcasts, and stays off social media. Is it going to be easy? Of course not. It's going to be extremely hard. It won't come easy. You will have to repeat the same process every day to see results.
Yes, the boring process. You'll repeat it so many times that you lose count and get on with it without thinking. Then you'll look back and love the person you're becoming.
